The built-in infrared sensor delivers near-instantaneous temperature readings as grain passes over it — a significant upgrade over slower-responding designs.
Built-in LED status indicators allow operators to confirm sensor operation at a glance, even from a distance. The sensor housing is constructed from UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) for exceptional wear and impact resistance, providing a substantially longer service life than many competing sensors on the market.
RBS supplies a full suite of third-party PCB assemblies to replace failed or aging boards in Brock® Quantum® and Spectrum® controllers. Many have been redesigned from the original OEM specifications, delivering improved noise immunity, better connectivity, and enhanced long-term reliability.

This assembly has been substantially redesigned from the original OEM unit. All plugin card contacts are now gold-plated for superior corrosion resistance, providing improved long-term connectivity and greatly reducing intermittent “ghost” problems caused by oxidized contacts.
The board has also been redesigned for better electrical noise immunity through complete isolation of ground and neutral circuits.

This unit supplies regulated power to the controller panel electronics and installs directly in place of the original OEM power supply.
When a full board replacement is not required, RBS also offers individual replacement chips for the Quantum® and Spectrum® controllers. These low-cost components can resolve communication and sensor signal issues without the expense of replacing an entire assembly.
RS-485 Comm Chip

A third-party drop-in OEM replacement for the Brock® Quantum® and Spectrum® RS-485 communication chip, and compatible with the RBS Retrofit Kit.
This replacement Comm Chip is a significant upgrade over the original OEM part, rated to survive conditions that would otherwise destroy it — including short-circuit protection and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection up to ±10,000 volts.
For maximum reliability, RBS recommends replacing the Comm Chip on both the Slave Board and the Quantum® or Spectrum® controller at the same time.
